donna-portrait-landscape-professionalWe’ve talked a lot about transition on the Therapy Spot in the last few months. We can plan for some transitions, like puberty or menopause, but some are sudden, like death or divorce. Even when it knocks you out of your comfort zone, transition is an opportunity to grow. Yet so many of us fear or even try to avoid transition!

That’s why I interviewed Donna Roe Daniell, a family therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience. She works in the Boulder, Colorado area and focuses primarily on her group coaching program, Women in Transition. This program incorporates elements of IFS to help women over the age of 45 achieve balance and wholeness in their lives, especially during and after transitional life events.

If you’re a person who tries to avoid transition, Donna understands. She wants to provide clients with a toolbox to help navigate these events, because fear can stunt potential growth. “When I have support and some tools, I can find my path through transition so much more easily. It’s like a rebirth.”

This podcast is for anybody who might be struggling with any kind of transition in their life right now. Join me as Donna shares her wisdom and insights, including:

  • What does it look like when life issues have overwhelmed a person?
  • What have you found to be especially supportive in using the IFS model during these difficult transitions in life?
  • How does the IFS model help people work through the grief that comes with the losses we experience in life?
  • How do people heal using this approach?

With the right tools, we can approach and navigate transition with an abundance of Self energy. I encourage you to visit Donna’s website if you’re interested in learning more about her Women in Transition coaching program.
