The focus of this show is to look at the value of taking a time-out when things start to spiral out of control in your relationship. By time-out, I’m not referring to a break-up. I mean taking time not to discuss or talk about something that seems to be triggering real conflict in your relationship.
So many couples come and talk to me and tell me that they want better communication in their relationship. They want help stopping conversations escalating into a huge fight.
I believe – and years of working as a therapist in Stockholm with many couples in the international community has taught me – that the number one thing we can do when a relationship goes in the wrong direction is to stop and take a time-out.
So in this show I look at the intentional decision of taking a time-out and how, if handled well, this can really benefit your relationship.
